For pure bandwidth sharing, a Raspberry Pi 4 (~€60–80) is sufficient. For GPU rental you need an NVIDIA graphics card — recommended at least 12 GB VRAM for AI workloads (RTX 3080 12GB, RTX 4070 Ti, RTX 4080 or newer). More VRAM means more jobs, better earnings. AMD GPUs are not yet supported by most AI platforms.
Nein, aber sehr empfehlenswert. Bei deutschen Strompreisen (~0,30€/kWh) kostet eine GPU mit 200W im 24/7-Betrieb ca. €43/Monat. Mit Solar sind diese Kosten null. Ohne Solar lohnt sich das GPU-Rental-Setup erst richtig ab ca. RTX 4080 aufwärts — mit Solar ist auch eine kleinere GPU profitabel. Für Bandwidth-Sharing auf dem Raspberry Pi macht Solar weniger Unterschied (Pi verbraucht nur ~3–5W).
No, but highly recommended. At German electricity prices (~€0.30/kWh), a GPU with 200W running 24/7 costs about €43/month. With solar these costs are zero. Without solar, GPU rental only really pays off from about RTX 4080 upward — with solar even a smaller GPU is profitable. For bandwidth sharing on the Raspberry Pi, solar makes less difference (Pi only consumes ~3–5W).
